ABOUT

I am a social worker with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy to diverse clients presenting with a wide range of concerns including coping with trauma, mood instability, questions around gender or queer identity, and difficulty functioning and coping. As a client-centered, and trauma-focused practitioner I strive to create a safe therapeutic space in which clients can learn to feel safe enough in their bodies and in the world to break free from old survival strategies that no longer serve them and empower them to connect to their true authentic selves that can live with ease and comfort in the world.

I have specialized training and expertise in working with adult survivors of childhood abuse and neglect, bipolar disorder, the LBGTQ+ community, and in supporting gender diverse individuals through the process of transitioning.

With all of my clients I strive to create a safe and supportive space through warmth, humour, compassion, and gentle patience; letting clients set a pace that works best for them.
