ABOUT
Loss occurs in life in many forms and these experiences can be frightening to go through. Experiencing grief is a natural response to loss, yet it is uniquely experienced by every individual. Traumatic experiences can intensify feelings of loss and grief further complicating emotional management. Trauma occurs when a person goes through something that threatens their safety contributing to the core loss one can experience, which is the loss of self. Losing a connection to oneself due to experiences of trauma and grief can leave a person feeling anxious, depressed, emotionally distraught, lacking self-confidence, and struggling with holistic well-being.
Have you gone through experiences like this? Are you feeling challenged by the impact grief and trauma have had on you?I am here to support you through your healing journey that involves re-discovering yourself and developing your sense of self which may have been lost due to trauma and grief. Our work together is mindfully and intentionally focused on supporting you in becoming the person you want to be and exuding the ripples of that into your life.
My work as a therapist focuses on supporting clients in bringing unconscious material into consciousness to support client awareness and empowerment, help them recognise and align with their authentic self, and help heal from past traumas that have contributed to life feeling stagnant.
I approach therapy with an integrative and holistic belief and passionately value an emphasis on the whole-person, mind, body, and soul healing. Our work together will integrate a deep understanding of your past, present, and future goals through a culturally responsive and strengths-based lens.
I prioritize your sense of safety, support, and care in every session and throughout all our communications. As we work together, we join hands to bring forth the power of compassion, acceptance, empathy, understanding, and empowerment in relation to you and your life.
Since 2019 I have been working with people experiencing loss and trauma by providing support in individual sessions and group support sessions. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a certified Wellness Coach, a Peer Support Canada Certified Peer Supporter, a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner, and hold various other certifications in grief and trauma education.
I strongly believe in the power of the Self and the innate capacity every person contains to transform, heal, and grow into their fullest potential. I respect the initiative and courage it takes clients to reach out for support and I am committed to being present with them throughout our time together.
