ABOUT
Maraam’s approach to therapy is client-centered and speaks to the individual experiences, background, and life narratives that people carry. This speaks to the richness that diversity brings, incorporating cultural nuances that play a vital role in mental health and well being. Her work focuses on emotional neglect, childhood trauma, narcissistic abuse, and the long term impacts of how such experiences may manifest later in life. This work often explores who you are, provides support to understand what comes from your values and self, and separates external forces that may create conflict with the self or other relationship.

Maraam is deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space that embraces the individual as they show up, holding their experiences with empathy and warmth, fostering a culturally sensitive environment, and prioritizing your well-being. She received her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and as a member of Their Collective, has enriched her experiences. She specializes in providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment for clients seeking relief and empowerment to work towards their goals.

Together, Maraam hopes to create a safe and inclusive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges without fear of judgment. Maraam is passionate about empowering you to navigate life’s complexities, and her goal is to facilitate a sense of relief and resilience. Together, you will work towards identifying strengths, coping strategies, and solutions that align with your unique values and cultural context.

Maraam’s commitment and discipline for ongoing education and cultural competence ensures that her practice evolves with the latest advancements in the field. She is currently working towards IFS Informed care and ADHD-CPSP. Maraam has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour, and a Master of Science in Global Health from McMaster. By choosing to embark on this therapeutic journey, you are taking a courageous step towards self discovery, healing, and empowerment.
