Welcome — I’m really glad you’re here.
I’m Melissa, and I believe that our life experiences — both past and present — shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we move through the world. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. In our work together, I offer a space that is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely caring. Whether you’re grieving a loss, feeling anxious or depressed, navigating relationship challenges, struggling with self-esteem, moving through life transitions, or processing trauma, we’ll explore what’s coming up for you at a pace that feels safe and manageable. If you're not sure exactly what you need, that's perfectly okay—we can figure it out together.
I know counselling can feel vulnerable at first. My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for your story. You are the expert of your own life. My goal is to provide a supportive space, helping you make sense of patterns, strengthen self-understanding, and move toward clarity, personal growth, and well-being.
 
I work from a client-centered foundation, primarily through a relational and psychodynamic lens, while also integrating approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, and strength-based practices. This allows us to both explore the deeper roots of what you’re experiencing and build practical tools for change.
For couples, I draw from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners slow down reactive cycles, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, and communicate more openly and effectively.
 
The relationship we build is an important part of the healing process. If you’re looking for depth, honesty, and a space where you can show up fully as yourself, we may be a good fit.
