ABOUT

Dr. Sangeeta Arya Tanwar is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). Dr. Tanwar received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Delhi. She completed her license conditions in Toronto. She also holds M. Phil (Clinical Psychology) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. She previously worked as a counsellor in school as well as practiced in hospital settings as a Clinical Psychologist in India.  Sangeeta also worked as an Assistant Professor (Applied Psychology) for nine years at the University of Delhi.

Dr. Tanwar provides evidence-based treatments primarily cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical-behavior therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and motivation enhancement models of therapy. She believes in empowering clients with the requisite skills to reach their goal of a productive life. She is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients in setting goals and planning treatment strategies. She works towards providing selective tools and imparting skills for leading a more fulfilling life.
