Hi! I’m Erica.

I am a registered psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I pride myself on fostering strong interpersonal and therapeutic relationships, each one uniquely fitting with the range of clients that walk through my door. While maintaining a strong working relationship is an ongoing task, once the foundation has been built, I work alongside my clients to define areas of their world that they would like to change – and, even more so, how to actually engage in changing them. I believe that counselling and psychotherapy is not a means of “fixing” the things that bring hardship and pain, but rather is a process that can be endured in tandem with the triumphs, joys, and difficulties of life, to help better understand them and our responses to them; and ultimately, how to “grow through what you go through.”


I bring a holistic, individualized, and humanistic vision to my work with clients and will use my well-developed empathy, openness, genuine curiosity, and patience, to co-construct a safe, secure, and trusting rapport with you.
 
I strongly believe that when people feel seen and heard, there is enormous potential for successful change – this relationship, combined with a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, can then act as a catalyst to facilitate a deeper connection with self and others; you will be able to begin your journey of healing.
